Page Converter FAQ

What does this tool do?

This tool converts full-page A4 or Letter PDFs into print-ready A5 or Half Letter layouts. It's ideal for planners, journals, workbooks, booklets and printable inserts.

What's the difference between Sequential and Cut & Stack?

Sequential keeps pages in normal reading order. Cut & Stack rearranges and collates the pages so that after printing, cutting and stacking, your pages end up in the correct order.

Which option should I choose for planner inserts?

Most planner users will want Cut & Stack (Double-Sided) so inserts can be printed duplex, cut and stacked into the correct order.

What does adding a margin do?

Margins create extra space for punching, binding or discbound systems. The tool will also calculate the page dimensions you should design at to maintain the correct finished page size.

Why do my pages look smaller after adding a margin?

The margin takes up some of the available page width. To compensate, you should design your original pages at the dimensions shown by the tool.

Can I use this for things other than planners?

Absolutely. It works for journals, workbooks, notebooks, recipe collections, manuals, booklets and any other PDF you want to convert into a half-page format.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your PDFs never leave your device.

Is this tool free?

Currently, yes. While the tool is in beta it is free to use. We may introduce paid features or usage limits in the future, but we'll always communicate any changes clearly.
